Education boards across Bangladesh are aiming to publish the results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams by July 25, in line with the customary two-month timeline following exam completion.

Dhaka Education Board Chairman Khondokar Ehsanul Kabir, who also heads the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, confirmed the timeline on Wednesday.

> “The SSC practical exams ended on May 25. As per tradition, we expect to announce the results by July 25,” he said.

SM Kamal Uddin Haider, Exam Controller of the Dhaka Education Board, added that the evaluation process is progressing steadily.

> “Although some chief examiners were initially hesitant to collect answer scripts, most have complied after receiving official instructions,” he said.

He also noted that submission of OMR (optical mark recognition) sheets has started and is expected to be completed by June 15.

The Inter-Education Board Exam Controllers’ Committee, which Haider also convenes, said that once all offices reopen, the final date for result publication will be set. In the meantime, scanning of OMR sheets and entry of marks are ongoing.

This year’s written exams were held from April 10 to May 13, followed by practical exams ending on May 25. Around 1.92 million students registered for the exams, though over 30,000 were absent for one or more subjects.

Education Advisor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar earlier reaffirmed the government’s commitment to upholding the established two-month results timeline.
